Any idea how I check the horn relay? The fuse was blown so I've changed that, now when I press the horn, I hear the relay click but no horn sound.

 

I'm just wondering how I can check if its working right or not.

 

For info, when I changed the fuse, it worked for a quick second, now just click click from the relay so I'm wondering if its broken down

iff its clicking it normaly means its working...put a tester across the horn feed and see if its going live

Where's the horn feed mate? In the bumper at the horns?

oh fvk here we go:rofl::D yea mate...just take the wires from horn and connect to a 12V tester or even a bulb, this will tell you your relays ok and your getting a live feed. The only thing that goes bad in relays are the 2 tiny contact points but iff they have "burnt or welded" together then you should not here clicks so i reckon its the horn end Lee.

It's probably the horn, it's normally full of water. Or where it bolts to the body is its earth, that connection often gets poor.

you have 2 dont you, and would i be right in sayin cas how there wired up if ones not working then the other one dosnt either. when i recently binned mine cas not working so i went out and bought one about 6 pounds. check the relay was clicking and it was checked the live feed comming in and it was then i checked the other side and found another one so i just assumed you need two. ant been to fit the other one yet cas me cars over at Zedworld.

So, I unplugged the connectors at the horn and plugged them back in... And hey presto it worked.

 

The thing is, I still have the 2 red Nissan horns but its not actually using them and I have 1 new horn. Thinking if prefer the dual hons though. Could a just tap in the the wires that are there being used on the current horn and run them to the other 2 horns?

Ile be the 1st to admit our standed horns are a bit tarty,mine sounds like noddy,s car:laugh:

I think it was Courtesy nissan, but MJP will be able to order them I would think..... They are JDM 350z horns...... I have misplaced my entire history for my Z at the moment (not happy with O/H filing system).... If I find the receipt I will PM you.....

I think I paid about £60 for the pair delivered....

can you actually see the horns? i had a hell of a job replacing mine for the MOT..

 

And brian I cant even hear them over the sound of the engine..lmao....

You'll see them through the front bumper or possibly down past the air filter

I can see mine...lol.... fitted them to the front of my grills on my veil side C2 front bumper where the intercooler would be behind. Mine was a N/A at the time of fitting....

I may need to move them now....lol
