We decided to discontinue the Zeta-R before this group buy, but I thought I may have a few pillowball top mount left in stock.

However, it seems I was incorrect and that we do not have any pillowball top mount left in stock.

Therefore, we will not have any Zeta-R specs available as it had been discontinued.

 

The current range available to the Z32 are the Zeta-S, and these we have in stock ready for delivery.

Deposit by the 19th July bud. Balance up to two months after deposit, although Jerrick has been kind enough to say if you require more time just drop him a PM. Go on mate, you know it makes sense at this price, we would only need a couple more for another price drop then.

Could someone explain to me in laymans terms what really is the difference between the Zeta-R and Zeta-S?

 

Yeah I know it says

*Zeta-S Aluminium Top Mount with Harden Rubber Bushing

*Zeta-R Aluminium Top Mount with Spherical Bearing (Camber Adjustments Included on Applicable Models)

 

But TBH that means absolutely nothing to me in terms of what I would actually gain or loose from the point of view of driving the car when fitting either one or the other

If i'm honest i'm not sure how. also the camber adjustment was the deal breaker...

You need adjustable arms for camber on these with multi link, camber plates only work for strut type suspension.

Surely camber arms are only needed if ride height is changed. no?

Yep that is what I wanted to know, but is the advantage the other way round, seeing as the Zeta-R is £50 more than the Zeta-S so it must be 'better'?

 

One or two on this thread spent the extra for the Zeta-S maybe they can explain?

The Zeta-S have rubber bushed top mount, and the Zeta-R have rose joint top mount.

Like other said, you cannot change front camber using the top mount on the Z32.

 

The main difference is that you get a little more positive steering feedback with the Zeta-R because there isn't a rubber bush in between.

Some might call this a bit more vibration / noise, other call it feedback.

I use the Zeta-R on my own R32 GTR for a 3 years and I don't find the rose joint harsh or knock.

 

Oh... and the Zeta-R rose joint top mount does look better when you pop your bonnet. :)

i might still be intrested what i want to know is if your car is standard set up can you just bolt on the ajustable one and fit it and buy the other bits later?

There is no reason why not, they are both struts situated in the same place, as long as ride hide isn't changed too much to the point the camber bolts can't counter it. Done it before without and problems whatsoever anyway.
