Just had a look at a blokes NSX. £16k import. About 50k miles. J reg black with an unmarked body, 17" wheels and dinner plate sized drilled Brembos on the front. The interior was so Z like apart from no room in the back. Sounded great too. Have to say it looked gorgious up close too. Didnt get to drive it tho. Mind you said bloke was sorely impressed with my Z at less than half the cost.

Whats the view from those in the know?

Any sports car which had its handling sorted by one Mr A Senna can't be all bad.

The NSX got reviewed in (I think J Perf) last issue or the one before. £15k (from memory) was below where you would get anything with SH or no problems around the corner.

Without wanting to be chauvinistic, IMO the ZX is a Euro style Grand Tourer and the NSX a Euro style mid-engined sports. I like both probably for the reason that Ferrari make 2+2 coupes as well as pure sports.

If I had £15k to spend (hahahahaha) on a car I think I would probably get better value from £15k spent on a low mileage late model 300ZX than a tired NSX.

But if I could afford an NSX (including the cost of running it) and didn't need boot / occasional rear seats, it could well be my fave. If only

The nsx is an awesome car but at £16000 I think a R33 GTR or a clean £6000 Zed with £10,000 spent on power mods would be a better car.

Paul

Looked at the two who where at billing this year.

They are a very composed & well looked after cars, I would buy one - but i wouldn't like to repair one when it goes wrong.

But the Z as said is just as good for 1/2 the £.

Suits us sir.

I must say that the NSX is one of my all time fav dream cars.

It's a proper supercar with no turbos or superchargers to get it upto speed!

I remember looking at a brand new model in the Honda dealers at Canterbury when they first came out, nothing short of AWESOME!

I would love one, however I agree with Paul in the fact that a good Z with a few simple mods would cain it!

I do have a love for Hondas though, they build fantastic engines and the fact that they can squeeze mega BHP out of N/A engines is proof of how good they are.

I also like the Bimmer 8 series...nice! Grrrrrrrr! Hello baby! :D

Ditto - when I was looking at buying my next car, the NSX was in the running. Drove one about for a bit, but to be honest, the Zed "felt" better IMHO...so consequently spent the better part of a year searching for a good one. :D
