Hi guys,

 

My new shell came today, from sussex stu.

 

so got on a mission, took the doors, bonnet, wings, tailgate off.

swapped them with my ones.

 

stripped the engine bay, got to jet wash it tomorrow.

 

Removed rear diff, subframe, got to remove front cross member in the morning thrn stonechip arches and underneath the whole car.

 

one of the sills were dented, from a jack and I've sorted that.

Hopefully couple weeks it will look like this again..

wow quick work mate, it only left mine last night, hope all goes well, she was my first zed, nice to see being of use.

Stu got this 1 delivered for me so had to have the other taken away.

But took all the bits u needed 1st...

Few more bits done, Weather was crap...

 

managed to strip the rest of the suspension off, remove fuel tank.

 

jet washed the engine bay and the underneath of car plus the arches.

 

wire brush on a grinder and got rid of all the surface rust in the areas I was gonna stonechip, then etch primered.

 

Below the battery tray is the worse area theres actually a few little holes, gonna get bro in law round to put a tiny plate in.

so couldn't stonechip front arch today.

yeah but they look good on yours, and jasons the beast.

 

but u have filled the panel in and got the tailgate lip.

 

They looked plain on mine lol...99 spec for me...

Only kidding bud, I have to admit that blending the panel has been the bain of my life of late, getting the odd crack appearing in the filler line between the panel and body. Obviously the body must twist slightly and this shows at the top of the panel in the corners at the boot line, i need to sand back and once sorted need to build the filler out at the corners.

Managed to get fuel tank back to metal, primered it then sprayed it satin black...
