So I've noticed there's a few different makes of timing belts, such as dayco, gates, all blueprint, pitworks etc.

Is there much difference between them or they preetty much the same?

if your not going to buy a genuine nissan belt all ways get Gates ... Next best thing there and all so they come with timing marks on them

That's quite an interesting read. I think it would have been good to have had the comparison with the other belts too.

Where can you get the genuine belts these days? My friend who works in a parts department (Nissan parts) said they were should as not available

My local Nissan parts depapartment sourced me the timing belt no problem.

ALWAYS go with the OEM belt..... It's simply not worth the risk; plus there really is not much difference in cost to justify not sticking with the Nissan one.....

mr F does genuine ones

......And there's your answer; dead right Mikey!! And Nissan has also moved with the times regarding rubber quality improvements etc - so it's daft not buying OEM.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
