Hi just tried fitting a sandwich plate and the centre bolt seems to bottom out when done up on the orginal housing and i a can still turn the sandwich plate its fairly hard to turn i think the rubber o ring is squashed is this ok i cant start as no oil in engine yet.Also the 3 take offs on the sandwich plate are too small for my hks sendor can i get a step up adaptor all these bsp thread sizes are confusing me or can the plate be drilled and tapped thanks taff.

what sandwich plate did u buy ?

its bsp for degrees F and metric for celcius gauges so depends what your gauge reads that determines the senders thread form.

I was given it think its a ebay special it has 3 small 1/8 ntp holes , my hks gauge is much larger than that was thinking of getting one hole drilled and tapped .

Many have had no problems with sandwich plates but I had one that dumped a job lot of new oil on the floor at startup! Use with caution and have a drip tray ready when you leak check on first start...

that will be 3/4UNF then...its not tight anyway is it?? there cheap enough on the bay ,just buy one for our cars bud:thumbup1:

Yes it is the right one came of a 200sx s13 3/4 -16 size centre bolt , my hks sendor is larger than the 1/8 ntp take offs on plate just wondered if anyone else had this problem maybe a screw in adaptor .I have taken 2mm of the top of the bolt which bolts to the engine to make a better seal wasnt sure it was surpose to spin when centre bolt done up .

no its not .. looks like the center adapter has been made to long

Maybe centre bolt is to long i just had it down to chinnese made I thought these sandwich plates where universal i got 4 diffrent centre bolts I'm using the correct thread.200sx s13s use the same nissan filter as the zed .
