I posted at the start of this month i had bought a SWB N/a with a naff engine and was planning on doing a TT swap among other things and general tinkery stuffs.... ( BTW i bought this with a Big end Bearing gone.....)

Well i started to strip her down and upon removing the R/h Wing i found this abomination!

IMG_0635-1.jpg

Then obviously having to remove the engine and planning on stripping the underside i start removing the engine beginning with the Fluids and find a certain something peeping out the sump! (the dipstick i knew about when buying the car and the look on the owners face when i asked him where the rest of it was was priceless)

IMG_0637.jpg

This next one isnt detrimental but i thought, at least I've gained something so far from buying this.....

Now for my favorite surprise ive had yet...

Perforated leather, both targas and my headlining.. Makes it look super neat and modern

And for the eagle eyed among us, yes the plastic has cracked around the normal area...

Just going over the parts to go back into the car and so many are damaged. Shopping list to make i think

All three grilles were made out of one sheet of universal plastic mesh bud . hth

Thanks for the info Allan:thumbup1:, I have to say that the grilles look identical to the factory one:thumbup:

I'll have a little search on Google :whistling:

That looks great, really clean and sharp

I trimmed my targas and headlining in grey alcantara and it really lifted the interior

All ive got for now im araid.

Well loads has been going on over the winter...

-new sandwich plate for oil filter as the other had a bad seal

-alternator now on a switched live as the previous temp measure was a perm live

-front arches cleaned of muck and rubber painted with Graviguard

-seal 2 minor weeps of oil on the sump

-resealed 2 sensors as i suspected 1 of them had a coolant leak.

-Removed the electric powered steering i so painstackingly fitted with a variable pressure regulator and gauge and now replaced with the stock zec N/a PS pump in a nifty little slide on the engine. so much clutter removed!

-got myself some Phutumsch halo sidelight upgrades

probably some other stuff but i reall cant remember.

...yes its dirty

These lights are absolutely epic. They are so crisp its a shame my camera on my phone couldnt get a better shot of them to be honest.

Phutumsch out did himself and i mst say the BEST service ive had yet for any zed related relationship..

Last things to do before MOT...

- Fit a new alarm as the current one is crap!

- Fit the last of my Mondo interior which i will then showcase

- finish my washer jet on m wiper arm combo

clean it...

Edited by Hollings

You have the same problems as i have when trying to show these in their best light.

Glad you like them Adam - thanks for uploading and your kind comments.

Looking forward to seeing that washer jet combo :cool3:.

SCHWEEEETTT !!! Love this car, well done mate:clap::clap: Mondo interior looks fab next to the Evo 9 seats??:thumbup1: they all tie in really well:thumbup:

The VH seems to be he obvious swap ATM. Was it massively difficult and needed alot of fabrication or was it changing the engine mounts and it pretty much fitted?

Depends on your skill set, a lot of things requires modifying but i wouldnt have said it was overly difficult
