this i a new one on me, my other half has given me an unwanted gift. its an asus laptop, running windows 7, has intel atom, full hd. etc. its very fast, but my question is can i run consult on it, or datascan. what do i need, i know i need a 14 plug that i can connect to the car, i have seen a few on ebay, that have cd, leads and other bits.

what do i need on the laptop and what do i need on the software.

Give me engines, or plumbing or carp stuff any day. Im totally lost

I got it to work with no problems... and there seems to be a good set of diagnostics...

what would I need to do to get the empeg code working on my empeg, once I dig it out of the loft?

Do you have any latest versions of the empeg software etc?

Can't be many people who still have Empegs! I am running the v2.00-beta13 kernel and v476 hijack.

The link to the developer's website for Empeg Consult is dead but I have the empeg-consult-v0.03b

source and bin file. I'll have to look for the setup instructions which were originally published on the

dev website.

 

The empeg forum http://empegbbs.com/ is a good starting point for all things Empeg.

Have looked around a couple of times and found some of the empeg resources still live, but have completely forgot how or what to do with it. Maybe a project over Christmas break, dig it out and see if it still works and get familiar again.
