555 injector woes

In the workshop today I had to remove a 3 year old injector due to leaking fuel, which is at least for a different reason than the usual failed unit.

Now the trouble was this zed had 555 injectors and not wanting to break the injector when removing I was a little apprehensive as it was removed but it came out very easy as the rubber sealing ring was not holding it as tight as it should be.

The seal is damaged and must of happened when it was fitted during an engine rebuild the owner had done previously, hard to understand how it had lasted 3 years but thats zeds for ya!

After cleaing up fitting a new sealing ring and refitted all was well again and leak free.
