Electronic Hicas

Any thoughts on why the hicas light may come on after driving for a while?

Ive changed the hicas ball joints, topped up the fluid, ensured the steering wheel is straight.

Any other thoughts to try?

Cheers

The after market steering will be what's up.

When the steering wheel is off is there a round plastic disk with a yellowish sticker on it.

there will be two prongs that stick out which slots into the boss that are used for signal cancelation

but in essence that electronic part tells the ecu what direction the steering is pointing.

Cheers..

I did look through the tech threads earlier and thats why I bought the compatible boss. Also mage sure the wheel was central, but as stated it comes on usually on Motorways and the straight line for a while..

is is a case of living with it or taking the bulb out?

Connect a conzult to the car and check the steeringwheel angle when the steeringwheel/wheels are straight.

If it show over plus or minus 5 degrees, this is most likely the issue.
