Can anyone tell me what rpm at 70mph should a Manual N/A be doing, my rev counter is showing 3000 rpm, that seems a little high to me.

Thanks Mark, just sounded like it was over revving a bit, might be the noise of the exhaust making it sound like it's over revving.

your not the first person to ask this .. but

 

Manual NA 70mph=3000rpm

Manual TT 70mph= 2800rpm

 

Autos are a Tad lower by about 100rpm

Might need to find a way of making the exhaust a bit quieter,

well mine is tt and for some reason its at 3k.

Javelin .. do you have a NA rear end ?

Iirc mines doing 80@3k a tt manual

mine is a tt manual with normal tt rear end. its about 3000 @70. But i am not sure if my 19" have anything to do with it. Gps shows 72-3 when i am doing 70.

My revs are out with consult by about 200 rpm, I doubt many of our tachos are showing the correct rpm, easy to calibrate though, I presume, with the pots on the PCB.
