Hi guys, well Another year, and another JAE,

So information for you all.

This year the location is the same apart from one change. the area is slightly smaller, but not by much, last year we had a square area where most of us ended up pitching tents (Square G3 in the image below). we no longer have that area. this not only keeps the area more Square, saves a bit of club funds but also will make us use more of the space available to us.

Anyway, for those who came last year, you will know where we are. but for those new this year and hoping to attend. its mainly right by the main gate to the event. but far enough away not to be that bothered by the coming and going of cars.

Map of location below, entrance is the the right of the image. (looks a small area on this map, but is very large, about 50 cars worth, we had 36 last year, with new members and a few more cars back on the road, lets see if we can break that number)

Would be nice if we can get some representation this year, although we did win our last 5 a side, mainly by default as the opposing team were too scared to join in lol

And also the JAE tunnel run. that raised cash in 2011 for the Japanese Tsunami Appeal and last year was the Macmillan Cancer Care. This year’s chosen charity is the London Air Ambulance.

More details on time table of events for the weekend will be published the moment JAE update their website with the information.

I hope we have a decent turn out this year like that of last year, ill bring my projector again, but this time we will have console with driving games or other games available, get a bigger marquee booked, we have the same generator this year as that's already been prebooked (did that when i took the keyback last year lol) so we can have quite a few things running on it.

Same rules as last year though, as a club we like to set a good standard, so noise down around 11pm (we are closer to public houses than most clubs) no excessive engine revving past this time. no glass bottles, plastic containers for alcohol or cans please.

as for food, not going to bother with sausages this year, will get something else to in replacement, but as the lamb burgers went down a treat, i think a few more of them instead of the beef ones.

If anyone else has any more idea's to make this year a decent one, more than welcome to say.

I have 3, 4 man tents so if anyone needs a tent, just ask away, but ill be having at least one lol

I will be bringing the halogen patio heater this year as it got cold at night, didnt bring it last year, didnt think we needed it (we did lol) as the year before that the generator was a single item use at a time only, where as the large one we are having this year is perfect.

Need a bigger fridge Ian, its not worth hiring one, maybe get a second hand one locally far cheaper.

Looking forward to it! The 5 a side football was great last year so I will certainly be up for that again!

Personally im miffed as to why they even have E1 as a separate section, it should be joined with E2 and E3, there are two massive tree's there, and for safety, no tents under tree's, if we have high winds or even a thunderstorm, thats a pretty stupid place to be camped / parked.

Also, its directly next to a dusty road, with the amount of traffic that road sees as its the main road into the site, why would you want to park your nice polished car there? me Baz and Dazvert did last year, and my car needed a good polish down again after i moved it due to collecting dust from passing cars, it wasn't even parked there that long.

Lets hope the welsh lot that was behind us last year dont set up behind us again noisy sods lol

Looking forward to this year, cant wait :)

They were good to sit under when the sun was to hot and I found the shade good for polishing the zed but moved it away from the trees when finished.:sweatdrop:

I'm coming this year! But being a complete girlie blouse I'm not camping. What's the nearest hotel type thing- there's a premier inn or summat isn't there?

Oh i agree, but if we didnt grab E1 as well, it could of made life difficult had someone else the booked it. not only would that take away from the fact our cars are on show the moment you drive into JAE so gives us a bigger presents, but also they may have blocked our entry and exit from the sit if they decided to all camp along the edge.

I did like the way it gave a nice blend of green grass, the lighting and the fact it just looked good for a photo. so it has its uses, just not for camping or parking for a long time.

Sure is, not that far either, you will most likely pass it if you come along the A14 into kettering.

Dont blame you lol at least you wont have to queue for the showers! :)

Was originally planning to camp but I'm a bit fragile health wise at the mo and my mate, who's bringing his mr2 absolutely refuses. He's a bigger blouse than me. Will probably miss most of the fun!!! Still, he will probably have to carry me back. Heh

For pre ordered tickets through the club about a week to 10 days before, i may be corrected n that info lol, but tickets can also be purchased on the gate.

No sausages. Outrageous!

I'm not coming then. Fine.

well no one was interested in them last year.

well no one was interested in them last year.

It wasn't that no one was interested in them but the lamb burgers were just to amazing to waste stomach space on a sausage

I had one or two sausages last year but the burgers were seriously munch

Really, you kept that quiet, thought it was your sister who had an extra sausage
