for these old cars you really don't want anything too loose.

I use castrol, lots of good deals on it now.

 

and they only take about 3 liters, a bit more with the filter changed and oil cooler)

15W-30 is the wrong grade of engine oil to use. Compared to a 10W-40, it's thicker when cold and thinner when hot. Bad choice....

 

There's absolutely no need to use a xxW-30 oil in any old turbocharged Jap engine, it's too thin when up to temp, 10W is fine for the UK temps. 10W-40 semi is good for every day use. Track use, I'd go with a 10W-50 or 15W-50. If going for a 15W-50, I'd change to a 10W-40 for winter use.
