Hi there done a compression check results below are these okay?

Cylinder 1 = 145 PSI

Cylinder 2 = 145 PSI

Cylinder 3 = 145 PSI

Cylinder 4 = 155 PSI

Cylinder 5 = 140 PSI

Cylinder 6 = 145 PSI

On releasing pressure from the gauge on cylinder 4 fuel sprayed all over my window screen then when i took the gauge out complete fuel dripping off the bottom of the gauge when pressure released again fuel sprayed all over the garage floor! So wiring loom all checked 0.02 ohms to all connections.

Measured on each side of the PTU results show:-

585 ohms cylinder 1

585 ohms cylinder 2

585 ohms cylinder 3

565 ohms cylinder 4

575 ohms cylinder 5

585 ohms cylinder 6

So i have phoned Nissan for a new injector £187 inc VAT!!

EVEN IF THE RESISTANCE OF THE COIL IS 12 ohms LIKE THIS ONE WAS, THE INJECTOR WAS STUCK FULLY OPEN CAUSING THE CYLINDER TO FLOOD!

TO BE CONTINUED...............

No i pulled all injector plugs off and the crank angle sensor plug off when i was measuring the loom, that was the only cylinder i got lots of fuel out of, i think that the injector is pressured all the time but needs an earth from the ECU to give a pulse to spray i think?

Please tell me if I'm wrong i am learning.

He bought a used one for £45+VAT with delivery (£60) and just now a new one for £180 from Nissan.

The first thing I said was the replacement injector could be faulty... Do I get a prize :tt2:

Non of this makes sense, with the cas unit plug undone, the fuel pump will not run as there is no engine start signal, with no pump there is no additional pressure, if the injector was stuck open the fuel pressure would have been leaking fuel all of the time even as you were removing the spark plug and inserting the compression tester which would of been obvious...sounds a bit mixed up.

MY POINT BEING that I was going to suggest he send it back to WHEREVER he got it from if possible as you can pick up an entire set of working injectors for £60. Or as Mark had kindly offered he could have had one for free. Didn't know (or care) that he bought it from you.

All inconsequential seeing as he's bought a brand new one from Nissan.

Regards.
