1 Year on and a bit - who remembers the old forum ?

Well its been little over a year and a bit since we made the massive leap of faith and upgraded the forums to version 4 of vbulletin.

Since then there was a whole lot of "congratulations", "well done" and aswell as a few "i don't like it, why change it" from a few older members.

For the first time in many years on the 11th February 2012 i took the forums completely offline for its full overhaul and upgrade and roughly two

and a half hours later the upgrade was complete and we were back with a fresh new design and logo thanks to the work of Mr Shin Yoshikawa.

Time flies when things are so good and i'm just wondering from all those people who were active prior to February 11th 2012 -

1.) How do you feel the clubs forums are now compared to over a year or so ago ?

2.) can you even remember what it was like ?

Just as a reminder of the opening comments heres the opening anouncment i made followed by 5 pages of comments.

Sometimes change is a sign of progress and of course sometimes it is not (for example the recent Hotmail change to the turd that is now Outlook or the recent forced change on Photobucket....)

The 300zx.co.uk site change last year (for me at least) led to months of confusion and frustration, but over time I've managed to get used to it. However for the sake of my sanity don't change it again for a while please

Fairly understandable about lots of confusion, aswell as a new design we also lost some older features.

But it was done for the safety of our member database foremost and features second as the forum software was so out of date

that there was so many known hacks available that would have allowed the system and members details to be compromised.

Unfortunately also since it was so old; a lot of the features were incompatible on the newer platform too.

So it would have been;keep all features with the risk of been ass raped or lose some features in the knowing your ass would be safe for the considerable future.

What would you have all picked ?:innocent:

Did it change??????? Cant say i noticed lol.

Cant remember what is was like before and i've been a member since 09!! Mind you cant remember what i did last week lol

But one thing since the signatures have been reduced i don't have any problems viewing on my phone now :)
