  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

I cant handle it any more Andy

Looks like oil has burnt on the ceramic, could be a leaky rocker gasket if it's back there. Checked for boost leaks yet?

ah, no I haven't... what's the best way to check ? ( sorry if its a silly question, im not a mechanic at all but trying to give it a go a learn with this car)

Compressor and a boost leak tester. You pressurise to 5psi then listen for the hisses. Pretty simple.

You will need to make or buy a boost leak tester...

There's a shop near me that sell all that sort of stuff, so I'll pop there Saturday :)

I would if I could get it to run right, I've had it since December and its been off the road more than its been on it, where I have done work and had some work done on it.

Got off my fat arse this morning, got my new rear tyres spun on and swapped out the bonnet. You may remember my bonnet had an issue, well this was it.... The paint had lifted off.

So a black bonnet that could be used as per as a temporary measure was kindly donated by Znut, I popped up to his place one evening and collected it. This gave me the opportunity to try out the colour and required less prep for being re sprayed.

Fully fitted and ready to be polished and waxed.

Honest opinions welcome, I think the nose panel needs to be black.

I like it, had a black bonnet on my old one as my red one had dodgy paint. Red & black always looks good in my opinion.

Red all the way...2 tone looks a bit "work in progress" imo... but I spose with a Zed it always is!

Paint it. Looks like you've had a bump and fitted an unpainted pattern bonnet! Ditch the snout too and it'll look spot in Steve!
