  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Yup - happened to my OEM speakers too Chris!! Check your rears as well - assuming they are OEM - and replace them at the same time. I have a pair of Hertz 6x4s for the rear, in good condition, if you need some.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Last sunday, managed to hopefully fix the leaky ttop drain, and pulled some relays and tested them, all seem to be fine.

This weekend hope to try to clear up any other corroded contacts i can find and reconnect it back up. Can't pull the fusebox right out to clean it up properly though.

Yea I suspect they've all gone as well, the sound is abysmal. I've got a whole system to install thanks!

Took a picture of the waking one. Is it a problem when one is not enough?IMG_5361.jpg

Two random things I realised today:

1) Passengers door card has a handle and drivers doesn't

2) US specs don't have side indicators

Both have slightly blown my mind in that I've never noticed either before!

Started my z32 up for the first time in 2 years and just about managed to get it to garage without it cutting out in the middle of a narrow street needing a jump. Oh, also had to remove targa and climb in and out as driver's door decided 2 years was neglect and refused to open for me inside or out.

Now the side skirts are coming off for the first time in well over a decade to see how things are going under there. Fingers crossed!

Replaced steering wheel on my silver one. Old one was disgusting to touch. Cost just £26 posted off ebay. Any ideas how to wire a horn?

Just dosent look right to me but your car mate :thumbup1:

Is that the bottom one? Then a no from me!

Yes, got the 350z steering wheel now. I know it might not be to everyones taste. Mine neither. But the original was disintegrating in my hands.

Just renewed my membership for another year.

Also had a very nice drive out with the targas off yesterday (first time this year with them off!) Alex loved it in the passenger seat!

Thanks for your support Dave - always appreciated mate!! And great to see you both out and about in the Zed....

Today, I did a couple of little cosmetic tidying jobs under the bonnet..... I replaced the bonnet hinge covers, the rubber bump-stops and the little grommet on the bonnet support - nice new items arrived from Z1 in the week

(sorry JP, no pictures.... again:lol: )

I also treated the ventilation system with some Autoglym air-con cleaner. It smells nice and fresh now; with the last traces of a year in the body shop a distant memory:thumbup:

Took the old fuel filter off and no need to take the fuel pump fuse out to depressurise the system as the battery has been out of the Z for months now. Aso removed the fuel filter bracket to give that area a good clean and wax and also touch up some paint that had been scratched under the filter. So a half hour job will take slightly longer but worth it.
