Going to start this thread for members to post up what they did each day to there zed. I will start with getting my MOT this morning. So what did you do today on your 300?:cool3:

Well here I am in the garden, rocking the water out of he spoiler. Should be finished by the weekend, if the neighbours don't have me committed by then.

You must've meet her before. Lol. Because she'll try and do it now and she's only 8. She's hell with the go karts & mini bikes now and wins every time by driving agressively to intimidate the other kids...:scooter:

Are you using an alignment tool to make sure the clutch is centred?

 

 

Just to say I ACTUALLY.... went for a short spin to work and back today in my Z.......... then to hairdressers to get barnet bashed.......

 

Cold transmission and she drives, slipping drive a bit, holding gears.... but was nice to hear her purr and driving her with dodgy transmission is still better than staring at her every day!

 

I am content till I manage to find someone to fit the replacement transmission, prop shaft, etc....

Not much I could do on my zed till I'm back at work to order some pipes to repair my power steering...

 

Although did have the joy of repairing the wiring to my alarm siren and then relocating it to a less accessible place, after some @#?! tried to disable the alarm last night, luckily it's a cat 1 alarm so as soon as they tampered with the wires it went mental,

Not much I could do on my zed till I'm back at work to order some pipes to repair my power steering...

I am on holiday this Saturday with family camping, But I will drive up to you next weekend if you need a hand Ted.......??

I can lift, push, pass tools..... even make a cuppa tea..... if needed...... If it means you don't throw in the towel in the final round!

Make sure the clutch is aligned, grab some long bolts and use them to pull the box into place.

you just need a bit of help and you will be back on track just take a step back for a few days then come back to it am on my own all the time and there is times you need help dont give up now mate just have a break, nice one russ for the offer and more local zeders should be helping out more thats for sure.

Totally agree Dan. Where possible, we should help each other out - it makes this forum more of a community.

Luckily I have a few decent chaps who liver near me, whose advice and time has been invaluable (you know who you are!).

Hope you have a better experience than me last week. Picked up two scratches from ignorant people on the Skoda last week. Spent the day we got back polishing them out. People are so ignorant. Last time I use the ferry, tunnel from now on.

 

You drive all the way to Dover when you live 15 mins from Poole? **** that!! lol!

 

Taken my Z on the cross channel ferry 6 times now and never had any issues with it. Brittany Ferries always put me on the lower decks anyway as it's so low, so there's always plenty of room. I sit in it upon arrival anyway and wait until the car deck has emptied of people before going up after sailing.

 

I detest the drive to Dover and even more, the dreary Nord pas de Calais area. The route would always spit me out in the wrong part of the country anyway.

 

I've actually never had any issues on any cross channel ferries and I've probably crossed about 40 times. (I go to France 2-3 times a year and have been for eons).

My oldest daughter is 12 too!!!!!!!!! :lol: but she's the sweet one! My lil one is sweet too but a tad more "adventurous" aka naughty like Daddy!

I went Plymouth to Rosscoffe, there was a reason we didn't go from Poole, can't remember what it was though.

I'll give up a weekend to drive over and help you, it's not like your round the corner but I'll be damned if I'm gonna watch you put all that work in to give up on fitting a box!

 

Get in touch Ted and we can sort out a time to get over. Maybe I can pick up russ or tomomontana on the way and get some hands on the job? Of course if they're not busy..

 

Whatever happens though, take those for sale posts down and sort your head out.. You're gonna finish that car and drive it in to the sunset pal whether you like it or not!
