• We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Got some 99 spec rear illuminated markers courtesy of Luke Borg. Might fit them for coventry !

I hope it's for the white car if you're going amber!

For Zeb, I reckon.

Removed the original OEM spoiler (which had developed a rash under the paintwork from water ingress) in prepartion for

the plastic fantastic Kuruma Zeta spoiler which will be prepared and painted before fitment. The remaining spoiler fixing

gunk in the picture will be removed.

Looks nice and clean under that spoiler Andrew. Are you keeping the original rear spoiler? I still have mine hanging on the garage wall and am very tempted to get it re sprayed and fitted back on the Z as its still in good shape just some paint blistering on the top. It would need to be water tight around the edges though.

Why, Gaz? Just for the sake of originality, or some other reason?

They are not made by Nissan anymore and mine could be made to look like new again so its just something I think would be worth doing but if it looks like it would still not be a water tight fit then it will go back up onto the wall of the garage. Watch this space :)

Well the problem I have now is that the supposedly "best on the market" Kuruma Zeta spoiler doesn't fit properly!

I've wrestled with the dam thing all morning, shaving here and there but to no avail. The "wings" sit about 3-5mm

at their tips away from the tailgate when then main body of the spoiler is in its correct postition. Being fiberglass

the won't bend into postion either - what a p*&%$r!

I have to say that right now I would fit a another OEM back on. Perhaps the gods are trying to tell me something?

The one I have just removed lasted over 15 years which is not bad. And yes Joel, it put up a hell of a fight to get off!

I replaced my OEM spoiler with a Car.Mad replica and, according to the bodyshop, it was a good fit out of the box. Not perfect, but good.

Sad to hear that a Kuruma part isn't cutting the mustard... not what I would've expected at all :(

I think this is a problem with all fibreglass rear spoilers. Mine is one of Dave's (Carmad) and sits about 5mm up at the tips. I had put this down to mine being a SWB and the fibreglass one I got came of a LWB but they should be all the same. Hope you get it sorted Andrew one way or another.

Because of the flex in the OEM spoiler, when laid flat the weight tends to twist the tips up ever so slightly. When the mould is taken, it suffers the same fate and was one of the reasons why I still have a discarded prototype spoiler in my loft. Ideally, a mould would be taken of the top part of the spoiler when fitted to the car, then once removed, the spoiler would be placed back into that mould to form the other half. Unfortunately that isn't practical.

Mines a car mad one too... Nice fit but not so sure on the quality. Once exposed to the elements it began to blister within a couple of weeks as per my previous post yesterday. Turns out there was air bubbles within the weave.

Keith filled them and resprayed it, hopefully it will be ok now but I suppose only time will tell

This is the problem I have, the other side is the same. The base of the spoiler is more or less in the correct position

along the lower edge of the tailgate.

Bit of Sikaflex in there Andrew, that will sort it

Went for a drive to Pyrford yesterday for an Anniversary lunch with the Mrs....it was also the inaugural trip for the Z after 12 months or so of a 'gradual' OEM+ renovation....she performed perfectly (the Z that is!)....and it was great to get the Z out for a drive in the sunshine.

From the sorry looking 1990 TT delivered on a low loader (due to a shot gearbox) back in May 2015....I think she has come a long way!

Great looking Zed mate - and that's fantastic interior you have too....

....Plus we have the same wheels...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

^^^^ Exactly how mine sits too, Gaz.

And mine......

.....Whilst I didn't have the FG replica fitted to my blue Zed (PhilP had it done before I bought the car from him), I did get the Zed Centre one fitted to my old red Zed. The body shop delighted in telling me what a b*tch it was to fit. And, whilst they eventually got it fitted, it also sat the same as Gaz's...

Seeing as I am going to Coventry I thought I better get my car finished, so ripped off the poor rear fibreglass spoiler in preparation for this one 01-2a.jpg

Again big thanks to Ash coming to help me, front end reassembled, oil changed, coilovers replaced. Good to go [emoji3]
