  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

That's very aggressive :)

Fitted spigot rings and new clocks. Now speedo reads to 180mph instead of 300mph and stopping when I go over a certain speed.

Car is now running as sweet as a nut after a run to Wolverhampton and back today.

I take it you're using spigot rings over them hubcentric bits?

no they have built in spigot rings... nice and snug.. (see first post about them #548)

are them e-bay brake discs ?

no, R33 disks and callipers, got them from Conceptua tuning (they are on ebay) but not far from me so I just go to them.

Well I took her for an mot this morning, first time with this Z. The local garage could not have been more helpful, straight away it failed the emissions test, they tried really hard to get it through but to no avail. I asked under what test he was checking the emissions and he said all cars this age have a cat test, I then explained that as an import it would not be on his data base, which he looked up and discovered that I was correct, ok that's a different matter then he said. He ran the test on pre cat settings and it passed that emissions test, so I'm well pleased that I have a local garage that will listen and act when given the right info. If it was not for this club I would have been none the wiser and the car would have failed, so thank you to the people on here that passed that knowledge on. Only advisory was a noisy exhaust. I'm well pleased.

Great news mate and that local garage sounds good as many would not take advice from owners. :thumbup1:

Your right their Gary, the car was in the test bay for one and a half hours, many would have just failed it to get the next car in.
