  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

You thought of a cusco offset bracket with an import style front plate? 2014-10-26%2013.13.25_zpsyffqfszn.png

thats what I wish to do to mine eventually

plate then blocking the intercooler

plate then blocking the intercooler

On that note. WHts more efficient two smaller intercoolers or one large centre monted?

the bottom line here is why would anyone want to put a plate rite in front the rad or coolers you want as much air to both am sure every one would agree

^^ it has an FMIC.

on that car then its fine but you dont want to block any vents. your plate is the rite size and the one i will be getting my self. what size is it si ?

just trying to make some now the 3/4 size is in in fancy plate has a daft border round it and you can remove it ?

sorted now order done

Snap. On a 3/4 size plate you can have the font, style and dimensions as per the DVLA display of registration markings regulation 14a and technically, be legal.

My preference would be this:

You're biased with your UK spec! It wouldn't look right there without the plastic mount, as luck would have it, I have this "in hand" as one of my current projects. I've made a 3/4 size plate mount by cutting the middle out of a UK mount and rejoining it. I just need to paint it and I'll have a play around with the final location. Whilst I'm quite fond of the distinctive front plate location of a UK car, I think I prefer it slightly lower. I guess this has the added benefit of less airflow restriction to the intake.

Agreed [emoji17] You know I regret my decision to assign the GB flag on the side. I need to order another one to get rid of that little beasty!

What gave you that idea! I don't have that carbuncle of the plastic mount - so you saying that mine doesn't look right???

To me, the added benefit of keeping it higher is reduced turbulance (and water) to the air filters and MAFs as the filters sit

directly behind the number plate.

Arse... foot in mouth! Yours obviously wears it well as I haven't noticed that before. I do see your logic in the location.

Did you get the indicators locally Jay??

The car is looking really well:thumbup1:

Arrived today from ZCentre. They look pretty good fitted, although the seals are a bit loose and they don't fit the standard bulb holders. Definitely worth the money anyway.

Must have had a senior moment this morning!

Here's my plate from three months back!

love it now thats a reg size i like well done

The under trays (2 of them) are there to help cool the engine (and ancillaries) by forcing air through the engine compartment.

Agreed - not to mention keeping water out of the engine bay!

I'd certainly not remove them either!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
