  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

Passed Mot today no advisory’s. Didn’t mot it last year as putting original front wings back on along with stillen lip and also refurbed brakes all round with new piston and seals as found fronts were seized. New disks also. While at it also wax oiled and greased everything underneath as am lucky to have a pit in my garage, saves jacking up to unsafe height while underneath.

Just need to get booked in to paint shop to finish front end and smooth side skirt vents, Hopefully ready for summer?

So my swapping the base on my seats idea didn't work quite as well as I thought. When I fitted it the seat looked twisted so I took it back out & had a look at the base, it was snapped in two places. So last night I split the base from the back again & took the material & foam off, did the same on my old base & refitted the good material on the old base. Still needs finishing off so fingers crossed this works. One small job turns into a big one as usual.

Seats now all sorted & working well, apart from the clips for the seat adjustment, I've tried for ages to get them little clips back in to hold the adjustment knobs on, just can't get them on.

I like your 300 mate, you could start a nice “journal” with that work.

Yeah I be the first to admit am not very good at posting journals, I’ve had the car for near 18 years and learnt a lot and not posted, I just don’t do social media stuck really Thanks for comment though.

I agree.....

Lovely Zed in a great colour - and another Stillen lipped car as well....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

As for me, I bought a new set of number plates to fit....

…..After a few years having EU plates, my OCD got the better of me - my reg is only 5 digits, and never looked quite right, as they don't sit "dead centre" on the plate because of the EU flag. I have therefore gone back to plain and simple, no border, no flag; just the characters and a little slogan promoting the club as a footer.

Oh, and I ordered a slightly larger rear plate - just to fill the aperture a little better!!

Photos to follow, once I have screwed them on:cool:

Looks awesome Peter.

I fired mine up today. Reversed out of the garage.

First time its moved since October.

Quick wash.

check fluids

Check tyre pressures.

Taxed it, put petrol in and went for a short drive.

That reminded me what an uncivilised and harsh bit of kit my car is.

No good moaning tho as thats how I built it:whistling:

A few miles later and all is well. Ive relearnt how to control it.

All I need now is some dry weather to get out on track:thumbup1:

Do you know which circuits you will be going to this year Pete?

Im going to the Three Sisters Track Attack this saturday IF the weather is dry.

I have a day at Blyton booked with MGs on Track on Mon 3 June.

That will be the first outing in my MG ZR 160 track car, although it is still not quite finished.

There are some evening dates at Donington in the summer so I will probably make one or even two of them.

:tt1: I want a double garage! :cool3:

Hi guys and gals..

I have just added an event to the events page for the south of england. Please take a look and let me know if you can attend. Normally a great day out for the whole family and looking to fill the club stand there this year..

Plenty of space for anyone that wishes to attend and show their car.

Need responses as soon as possible so please do check it out and let me know you wish to attend..

Also if one of the south REO's can contact me with regard to a club banner, i would appreciate it.

Thank you.
