Car's just been dropped off at MOT centre, Im loaded with my manuals if anything goes astray.

 

Again big thanks to Ash coming to help me, front end reassembled, oil changed, coilovers replaced. Good to go [emoji3]

Mines a car mad one too... Nice fit but not so sure on the quality. Once exposed to the elements it began to blister within a couple of weeks as per my previous post yesterday. Turns out there was air bubbles within the weave.

 

Keith filled them and resprayed it, hopefully it will be ok now but I suppose only time will tell

 

Mine is the same as this but also fairly rippled which could be down to the finish (same as the sideskirts, all fitted by a previous owner). It was bonded around the edges which has started coming away the past few months so need to do something with it.

 

What options do we have for 89 spoilers currently?

The only option is the fibre glass copies as Nissan do not make them anymore.

I think z centre do one too but quite abit more expensive than car mad

Matt give it a good coat of polish before I lifted it so just need the glass and interior done and yes the garage lights must of made the alloys look yellow.

I am not 100% sure what it is mate but I do know that Matt had to add a mix to the paint to get it a perfect match.

Got the new shift knob in from Chris at LeatherWheels and it looks better (if That's possible)! Super quick turn around and superb job!!! Thanks Joel at Z1 for the great price and quick shipping of the donor shift knob and assembly. Steering wheel emblem is nice too...

That looks stunning Gaz! It's not often you see that colour Red without some fade to it from the Uv damage..

Getting close to both pulling my hair out and wetting myself at the same time now! It's been 13 looooonnnggg days since I last saw my Z.

Missing it like mad and every time I open the door to leave for work, that snail of a Ka is grinning at me...

After a little chat with doctor dent today, he has told me he's going to send photos of my new engine bay to me today.. I'm so excited, but I'm thinking should I look at them now or wait until I collect her? The last time I saw my engine bay it looked fairly oem apart from the slam panel covers I'd fitted the week before I took it to Shrewsbury..

So do you guys think I should wait til I lift the bonnet or take a peek at the photos?

I'm pulling hair out for another reason aswell. The friend who took me to drop the car off with Lee can't take me to collect her.. So I'm kind of stuck in limbo at the moment! Unfortunately she might not be ready until early next week now and that throws a major spanner in the plans as I'm at work weeknights and obviously need to sleep days.. After seeing the price and route to get there by train I nearly choked! £120 single fare and I have to go south in to London to get to Shrewsbury?? Wtf?? Three train changes too!

As the agm is on next weekend I'm starting to think I'll not be able to get there to pick up the car..

Picked her up from Lee Dents & had a nice drive home. Suspension feels much smoother now, especially now he's fixed the Kwick Fit f##k up. Fresh mot, no advisories, just gotta give her a good clean for next Sunday. Always does top work, thanks again Lee!!

New tyres fitted today, all set for Coventry.

 

Also has somebody got a link to the thread with the interior fan buzzing noise by the lights? Or is it a simple job of prying the panel off and unplugging it?
