Could do with a little help I changed all my indicator bulbs for led type ones and now they flash like they are on speed, I've done a quick search on here and on the Internet and figured its either a relay or resistors but not sure which relay/resistors to get

You need Canbus indicators. As has been previously said, LEDs operate on a much lower voltage which is why you're seeing a high flash speed. You don't need a new relay, just the correct CANBUS error-free bulbs for the indicators as these have the correct resistors pre-wired into them. Much neater than wiring in a resistor.

Ah I didn't realise when I got them that you could get them with a resistor already in them, just out of interest what ohm resistor would I need if I was to wire them in?

you need to speak to groover . he,ll put you right

Our zeds are too old for canbus lol

You can replace your indicator relay under the dash for an LED flasher relay, specifically for use with LED indicators. The reason they flash so fast is less voltage draw on the normal relay and therefore thinks a bulb is out.

And there is a write up in the FAQ section http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?133770-led-flasher-mod

Needs a load resistor the same value as 1 more bulb..or a simple fix is have a slave bulb wired into each side and have it hidden in the boot, this will load the flasher unit and the world will be good again

Or build loads of leds into the mirror unit, my disorder shows no sign of improving :whistling:.

Did this on mine, and now I don't get a "ticking" when there flashing on/off, not the end of the world, but i guess the flasher relay can't do everything

I don't have them now but you can fit a buzzer for an audible indication, just look in the FAQ section for the How-To :cool3:.

I will just grab one of those relays then, thanks for that its just one of a list of things I need to sort before back on the road day
