What does the advert say regarding what's wrong with it other than needing a replacement turbo?

As for buying a Scooby as a daily driver I can't see anything wrong with it other than the fact that you'll no doubt start modifying this aswell, which ultimately means that something has got to give (ie. full on zed build or 50-50/30-70/40-60 etc etc split between the Scooby and the zed, either way the zed loses out even if it's just a small amount).

Personally I'd go for something along the lines of an RS4 that gives all the thrills of the Scooby but won't necessarily be screaming out for modification

It's on the roof, so where's the roof :confused1:.

PMSL!!!

Looks real nice mark, how much is it? I've just bought a GTiR, 2 litre turbo 4wd is where it's at lol

the only Problems i have seen is some blistering on the rear o/s wheel arch below the fuel cap ... quit common to what i have seen .. and the turbo has failed

its the Type-RA

and got

HKS boost controller

iridium gauges

Remapped Aprox 380hp

loads of carbon bits

full stainless exhaust

and load of other stuff

understand what u are saying about owning 2 modified cars ... but i wouldn't be getting this if i can strike a deal up until i have done my zed

so right now its 100% Zed

That looks in great condition for its age.

Someone has truely loved that car for it to look as nice as that.

Go for it mate, I would.

As much as I like a nice Scooby I have to agree with Pez. The build you are doing on your Zed looks pretty epic and it will suffer if you buy this. It's not your fault, your a bloke:shifty:

Quoted for truth. Let me know how you get on with the GTiR. Mine's a bit of a beast and I'm just building one back up from a bare shell for export purposes :cool3:

As for the Scoob, driven quite a few now. The most recent one was a UK spec 2000 Turbo S Reg, really nippy and very nice to drive, but had quite a few issues (weak clutch, massive oil leak). I personally wouldn't choose a car like that as a daily, wouldn't choose any Jap turbo car to be fair, hard to keep them standard knowing how much power you could have. I reckon I'd have an M5 if I had to choose a fast, smart daily driver. I find it quite difficult finding the time to enjoy both the Pulsar & the Zed, and more often than not look forward to driving the MK3 Mondeo V6 ST lookalike. I've even started modding the engine in that though. It's a disease

We had a scooby wrxi it was lovely but had to sell it as it was a sitting target but loved driving it altho not as much as the zed

My brother has just got himself a 2 litre turbo WRX and its good to drive but not Zed good.

The smaller engine means you can always hear the turbo spooling so I found I was always flooring it!

looks like sti replica ... wrx ra it`s just a bit lighter with aliuminium bonnet and no electric window swithes :) i miss my subaru :)

trouble is mark everyone will think you've got chlamydia, for two reasons. Firstly your advertising this fact wearing a STI label, and secondly you will be also be joining the chavs. There quick enough and handle well, theyre also sorta practical with the 4wd etc, but honestly if I had one it would have a few dents and be filthy as I would use it as a proper hack, imo there pig ugly and pikey as.
