on my current zed, as i have no real history, would love to know who owned it at some point and the search function isnt really being helpful as im not sure what to search for?

I know it was defiantly on the forum or owned by someone who had subscribed (or maybe they just got the sticker) as there is a faint outline where 300zx.co.uk can been seen under the rear window washer jet.

Would just really love to read some old posts about it.

Put a pic up and work your way back gradually through its history.

Starting point: Who did you buy it off?

I traced one old owner of mine by doing a search about one of my more rarer mods. In my case it was my Impul ecu and vinniboys spider sticker on my rear window. That helped me turn up two ex owners

Tried that, but doing a search for Vailside when everyone has discussed it at some point brings up all sorts of results, ive also done a search for z1 intercoolers, 555, nismo555, JWT (which brings up 0 results?) and pretty much all mods on my car, hence my post.

Only the last owner which is some guy in Glasgow.

Think a picture may be of most use mate, someone may know it and the owner.

Hi Vods, Veilside is spelt with an E not an A. Hope you don't mind me pointing it out.

Not at all, might be why my search hasnt brought anything up lol

they are not the original wheels that were on the car ian when the lad in glasgow had it im sure.

the trader who bought it also purchased a car belonging to apache engine on here.

i sold these wheels to apache engine and the trader has swaped them from the white car to the black

i can remember both these cars being advertised on e/bay pistonheads at the same time.

do you have any details on the logbook about the lad in glasgow and il try and chase it up

thanks sandy

vods the previous owner of my zed applied to the dvla for a keeper history form VQ7, it came back a few weeks later, giving full details of who bought it and when and what mileage it was sold at.

Yup ive got it now, think it cost him about £50. but its good to know where its been.

Yup - you can do this Ian....

....As you are the current owner, you can ask DVLA to give you details of all the former keepers of your car (since it has been in the UK). It always used to be free, but I think Stu is right, they do charge you nowadays - not sure it's that much though!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
