Hi I have three 300zx, a non turbo manual, sons, a twin turbo, sons, and mine a twin turbo automatic.

The plan is to remover the manual from the n/a engine and fit it to my twin turbo...

But I WONDER is the automatic engine from the twin turbo the same as the auto from the n/a....

My white one has a real problem getting into third, we changed the solenoid from a n/a engine auto box (I think) but it made matters worse...so suspect its something else, another sensor not working right or a completely buggerd box...boxes are relatively common so will change it I think for now until the manual box is stripped out...

But the big question are the twin turbo boxes all the same...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

NA manual will fit on the auto TT. if your using the NA flywheel and clutch straight on if using a TT flywheel and clutch you will need to grind an area out of the NA box to avoid it fouling on the TT flywheel. Remember to fit a Manual spigot bearing in the end of the crank and have fun removing the auto one.

Hello & welcome!

Pics of the Zed fleet? :)

pretty much yeah, the box internals are the same. its just the driveplates, ie flex plate or flywheel and the bell housing that vary. also the speed sensors are different.
