This is how not to work on your zed,

The o no not again bit is I started my engine bay again, ive welded all the seams up on the passenger side now.

 

And started both sides again, gonna make it smooth so welded all the holes where u bolt fuse box and power steering pot.

Got rid of hicas so that nasty thing has gone too.

 

I'll get some closer pics up tomorrow, when ive sanded some of the filler I put on so badly lol.

 

Was gonna relocate fuse box to where my aircon pump use to be and power steering bottle under nose panel.

 

Anyone else done similar, got any advice or better ideas, or even better some pics of how they did it..

H&s would shoot me lol, my bro in law was painting 2k in that I ran for the hills lol. His nuts said to him about wearing a air fed mask his worked in loads of paintshops and his nearly allways just used the 3m mask..

Not sure the powder coat place near rugby club, is he any good lol.

The colour my plenum is going looks very similar to your wheels.

 

How are u hope your ok, is the beast coming out to play soon.

Mine cost £95, cause its alloy and I had a candy colour it was more expensive then normal,

But should look good, I hope lol.

i might be able to help you out a little on the relocation thing

 

not worked on my project for a bit but i have done all the things you are asking after. i shall have to dig out my old thread for you + it could do with an update

thats serious effort wish I had the motivation to get out there and do something

 

Its a lot easier when you spot the missus scratching her arse and picking her nose...motivation comes by the bucketfull:D

Hi guys didn't get much time at weekend, but got brackets welded on for power steering pot and started shaping the filler on passanger side of engine bay run out of time so sprayed some primer on it to stop it rusting till next time I can work on it..

Also welded up the hole in the corner each side to make it look really smooth.

So had to do a bit to drivers side again lol.
