Rear Space - Seats fold down?

Hi, neewbie with first post.

Considering getting a 300ZX, always admired them when I first saw it in the early 90's.

I've justed started doing more detialed research and understand the UK models are LWB with the 2 small seats. My question is do these seats fold down? I play golf and just want to make sure there's enough space for a fully loaded bag and trolley or is there enough room in the normal boot?

Hello mate - and welcome to the club!!

The rear seats do fold down easily on the 2+2..... The boot is big and square; albeit very shallow - think about 9-10 inches at the rear but rising with the angle of the tailgate towards the front of the car.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cheers guys. Seen a nice looking TT on Autotrader. £5K, looks original which is what I'm after.

Hi,

plenty of room in the back with the seats folded down for 2 sets of clubs (and fold up pull trolleys).

It might be a bit more difficult if you also had two sets of electric trolleys... but one electric trolley and one set of clubs no probs..

trolley would have to go in first.

the standard boot with cover over is only big enough for a couple of medium luggage bags.

I can get one big suitcase in the boot of my LWB - and if we are going on a week's holiday I squeeze a slightly smaller suitcase, upright, in the rear footwell behind the driver's seat!! Not to mention my SLR camera bag, our walking boots in another bag, plus a couple of jackets - all in the boot with the big suitcase and without folding the seats down!!

all my fishing gear will fit in my lwb, obviously the rod holdall goes into the passenger compartment. if I can fit all that crap in there you'll fit your golf bats in there just fine mate.

lol...yes agreed... I was trying to approximate the size without going into detail... but as you say yes you can fit a lot of "bits" in ... it's the shape that makes it difficult.

However since the question was about golf bags I was only using it as an example to suit... :)

I have had a 32" widescreen old style colour TV in the boot with the seats down and boot closed.

Very true mate!! I should also have added that I squeeze all that in the boot and the luggage blind still fits over - as you say, it's easy to cram bits in around a big item!!

I seem to recall that one of the design considerations by Nissan for the 300zx was that you had to be able to fit a fullsize bag of golf clubs in the boot. Never tried though, dont play golf.

Also worth noting that it has a false floor, when once removed significantly increases boot depth. We used to take weekend trips to cornwall as a family of 4 with luggage..and our Golden retriever in the LWB !

The SWB Boot is quite a lot deeper than the LWB boot, probably 1.5x the size...but you lose any potential rear seat luggage space.

yeah that's right I actually seem to remember that too, from that book, the er 300zx companion or whatever its called.
