With technology in 2013 at the very best it can be and with the advances in every possible technology been reinvented almost daily can we not have a reminder when subs run out? why have I been demoted to a registered member......beggears belief:sad:

have you checked your spam box, will ask lee if he can see if one was sent, but as ive just said on another thread you have been here long enough now to know that it sometimes happens

Okay Stella can see we have a difference of opinion, I have NEVER in nearly 10 years of membership had a sub notice and in my mind it should not happen, I cannot believe that there is not some software that can 100% handle such a small job, and as far as me posting a thread about it at least I am been proactive, maybe when it happened to you you should have questioned it more...

it didnt bother me that much, i kept an eye on my own subs and knew anyway, and you posted 3 threads about it not just one

As soon as Jakai comes online I will ask him if you were sent a reminder. Sorry but I can't really do any more than that as I'm just a mod.

i get mine :blink: it comes 1 week before subs run out, sometimes ive found it in my inbox, others in my junk, but it has arrived.

Hi Jeff,

 

The forums processes an automated email every night for any user found to be due to there subs running out.

 

This happens no matter what type of sub they have, either regular member or trader.

 

I checked the logs and we did indeed send a reminder but it failed and was returned.

 

Now I'm not willing to post your email address but I did independently send my own email to it and once again

It was rejected, I can only suggest that you please check your profile and settings and update your email address

to something that is most current and one that can be checked by yourself or other staff / family members.

 

I hope this explains why you never get reminder emails.

 

If I can assist in any email tests let me know.

Ok Lee, cannot understand why you would have any issue with emails as we have had the same two for several years ? I get it there is a system in place but with limitations, still does not address the that was recently put in place? or do I not qualify for that? just need to know.

None of these are setup in your forum settings Jeff !

 

Even though I can access your profile directly; mods and other committee cannot, so we have no idea your contact email is wrong.

 

Its up to the user to update this information directly via the settings panel located at the upper right side of the forums page.

 

 

could we not get it as a pop up message on the forum so that a week before its due when we log on it pops up to remind us? i always miss mine to and wonder why am changed
