I think I'll be going as well - I'm only 10 minutes down the road!!

I should be there but not in my Z. Got to pop round the corner to Pete's wheel supplier for some wheel balancing.

Went to Kwik Fit at the weekend and they couldn't work out how to jack up a TVR and so sent me away !!!!

D

I'll be there at some stage.

Need to talk to Mr. C. Eddie at some stage - will drop a mail when a get a spare moment ....

Hey, shouldn't we all be made to wear badges with our forum names on? So we know who's who?

I'd feel a right prat going into BP to fill up with a whopping Timmy Mallett sized badge on with "Hey, I'm Timmy Turbo...Who are you?" on it...LOFL!!!

Tim

P.S. Still laughing...

Seen Pete today and open day times are: -

10am till 4pm.

As well as us guys and some very nice Z's there will be sadly . . some 200sx pepople turning up and a few Skylines to look at.

Sounds like a good day.

See you guys there.

Eddie ;-)

In the hope of seeing plenty of you at the same time, I'm aiming to be there as close to 10:00 as possible as I need to be back in Brighton for the afternoon.

Dave

Eddie,

How do I get there, never been to SE before. I'm travelling down from Stevenage. So round the 'ol M25 should do the trick.

Have been on SE website but no directions?!?!?

Hi guys,

Hopefully more usefull info about SE's open day.

How to Locate SE from

M25: -

Take Junction 28 from the M25 head North towards Chelmsford along the A12. Continue just past Chelmsford until you see an exit for the A414 (Maldon). Exit the A12 here and go left (3rd exit) at the roundabout at the end of the slip road.

North that's North of Maldon: -

Find the A12 and go south past Ipswich, Colchester until you get the A414 (Maldon) turn off. Take the second exit to Danbury.

Now you've made it to the A414: -

Follow the A414 through Danbury.

In Danbury you will pass a small double mini roundabout, go strait accross there. About half a mile down there is a SPEED CAMERA, it's a 30 zone so wotch out. Go past the Esso gas station (on left) and about 2 miles down you will get to a medium sized roundabout. Take the 1st exit to Maldon. Burn along here (Monday Driver Permitting) until you get to the next roundabout (Safeway Roundabout). Take the second exit to go into the small business park, go strait over the mini roundabout past (what was Great Mills and now is called Focus) DIY store & Safeway. Follow the one way loop round to SE.

As you can see my directions & english are very dubious so if you are unsure phone SE on 01621 858856 they might be able to provide you with better directions.

See ya

Eddie ;-)

Thanks Eddie...

If coming from M25, then when you come off the A12 you turn right not left !

SE's number is 01621 858856 if anyone needs to contact them on the day.

Alternatively, if anyone wants to meet up and follow me then we could meet on the M25 - at the services between junctions 6 and 5 (can't recall the name!) at around 9:45 am (by the petrol part). I'll probably have Craig in tow (if he can keep up of course!)

Dave

Dave,

I might be up for that meet. I will be in my Merc but 9.45 is well early. If I make it in time I make it but obviously don't wait around for me...have trouble gettin' up for work in the mornings! LOL!

Never mind Craig keeping up, what about me, I've only got a miserly 175bhp two tonne german tank machine. I miss my Z, I miss my Turbos...Cossie heads are one thing but you can't beat a turbo motor...sulk!

Sorry guys Mr Hairs is right or was that left?

On the A414 slip road if going northbound on A12 the sign shows

Maldon

Danbury

A414

And indeed it is pointing RIGHT!!

See ya

Eddie.

Hey Timmy_Turbo - you don't live all that far from me - I'm just up the road from you near Sandy/St Neots at the Black Cat roundabout.

Hi Ajay,

Cool, where do you wanna meet up matey?

I am travelling down from de Wales, aayyyy! on Sunday. Staying in me digs in Stevenage and then will set off on Monday morning.

Let me know, and I'll follow you down.

Whenever and whereever - I have just got my Zed back after a week of driving a freaking 1 litre MICRA (as a courtesy car while mine was in for service/cam belt change. The sparks/filters and oil I can do myself but the cam belt I leave to the people who do it all day.) so am more than happy to drive EVERYwhere.

Name a place and time (preferably at the weekend as I am in sunny Berkshire from Mon - Thurs night - drive back on Fridays) and maybe the Zeds can meet up and chat outside a pub somewhere.

Ajay,

Are you going to SE on Monday old chap? That's what I was on about before, about meeting up. Do you know your way down there? If not we can meet up at Stevenage just off the A1(M) seeing as you are further up than me. Then we could maybe meet up with Dave and Craig at the services on the M25?

What say you?

Tim

Well, as I managed to wangle my way out of working this Monday, I may just have to take you up on that! There are some plans afoot, but they may not come to fruition, in which case Monday is a free day.

What exactly *is* SE?

Swimwear Exhibition

Snakes Eating

Shouting Earwigs

Slithering Ectoplasm

Squashed Elephants?

Ajay fella,

SE-Nissan in Essex, run by Pete R, specialise in all things Nissan and sporty...300ZX's, 200SX's and not forgetting Skyline Godzilla monsters also. Oh and probably GT-R Pulsar's too.

Anyway, Pete has opened up on Monday and invited all for an open day, this obviously attracted me as my car is currently with Pete and his crew awaiting an engine build.

That's what this thread is all about, who's going, do you wanna go? If so, sod work matey, take the day off sick and join the Z clan in full force(hopefully!) to see what SE are offering for the future. Pete is going to show all around and maybe do some tech. demos aswell. Again I have an invested interest in this as he may or may not use parts of me knackered lump to demonstrate kit that he uses to diagnose problems.

Get to be famous for a few micro seconds and see my sick motor at the same time. Which will be nice as last time I saw it was in Peterborough at Arriva Nissan after engine had been pulled! Bummer!

So if you are up for it, open day starts at 10am(jeezz, how early???) and Dave Hairs(y) and Craig are going to meet up with peeps at about 9:45 at the services on the M25.

I will be back in Stevenage tomorrow night and will then make my way down to SE on Monday morning. You are just up the road in Bedfordshire Massive aren't you?

Let me know if you wanna go and we can meet up.

Tim

it takes me about 3 minutes to lad a page now lol

how about meeting at the first service station on the A12, after you leave the M25 ?

that way, almost everyone should be going past that point......

i dont know where the first one is, but i'm sure it cant be too hard to miss....

I don't actually remember seeing a petrol station. That's not to say there isn't one - just don't remember. Can someone with Satnav check it out ?

Dave

I've checked my GPS map and there doesn't seem to be any services on the A12 between M25 and Chelsmford.

I'm meeting Craig at 9:00 at his place. If anyone wants to find out where we are, give me a buzz on 07778 650279. Can't promise I'll hear it ringing but I'll try.

If anyone wants to meet at the M25 services between junctions 6 and 5 at around 9:30 then give me a call and leave me a message and I'll make sure we stop off there.

Dave
