coolant/ water leaking ?

Hi mates,

got a problem, i went for a 45 min drive got home the car was ok, i got a turbo timer but it didnt activate when i switched the key.

when the engine shut off i see smoke / condensation coming from the engine, heard a hissing noise and it coming from the back of the engine near the turbo's. Checked what type of liquid it was , it has to be coolant or water.

anyone know what could of let loose ? going garage tomorrow to what it was ill try to get pictures.

Check the two hoses at the back of the engine. They go from engine to firewall and connect up the heater matrix.

I've also had a split turbo water feed pipe not so long back, fill it up with water, run it and get underneath, should get an idea of where it's leaking from.

sounds like a turbo water feed pipe. I had the same issue a few months back. Zedworld do a bypass for it, or you can also replace the pipe itself

Yeah I would expect it to be one or more of the little water pipes that go from the tubs, they also connect to the plenum and the hard parts rust. The layout is designed to allow convection current to passivly cool the turbo after shutdown, so the water in there moves slowly pulling heat away all that heat etc takes its toll and the rubber perishes. Remove yojr battery and zhine a torch down the back you will be able to see them.
