I got an eBay one from 800bhp meant to be heavy duty and for large cars, he said it will fit the zed which it does length ways but width only covers to bottom of doors so sill arnt covered,

Plus it doesn't breathe so get loads of moisture build up under the cover all over the car lol

Mine was a bit big so I linked a load of bungy cords together around the car over the scuttle and boot to stop it flapping. Forgot to replace them once and the spoiler ripped it to shreds in the wind

Hmmm, think its worth a go and hopefully the spring will come round quick!

Hi,

I don't like car covers, most likely do more damage then left in the open.

Water might build up inside and wind may damage paint on the corners if it blows about.

It's tricky, but I feel bad everytime I see thick frost on it. I'm not using it for the next month or so, so thought I would cover it. Ill letcha know how it goes.

I wouldn't use one again, damaged the paintwork on my car. Think the sun must have burnt the paint cus it went white in places. Its meant to be a breathable cover as well. Might be ok in winter though.

I decided to buy one in the end and have been rocking it for about a week and so far so good. It's been wet and windy and hasn't flapped off or damaged anything (touch wood) and with a bed sheet underneath the cover it also seems dry.

I wouldn't fancy it for a permanent thing but for the month or so I need it, it's happy days!

Looks ok matey, but only good for the winter months though. Have a good look at the paint work upon removal of the cover, as it tends to "sweat" underneath when the weather warms a little and if your paintwork has some flaws, you may get some paint blisters...........

Just a little advice for you matey......

I appreciate your comments and will keep and eye on it. My main concern was the frost and water flowing into all the nooks and crannys whilst I'm not driving it for the next few weeks.

Hopefully it'll survive ok.

The worse thing I did was drive my car in the snow, was fun but the salt is the worse.

2winters on salty roads could see the difference underneath, that's why Im doing underneath now and never driving in winter again.

If u just parked it up for couple months even without a cover can't see it hurting the car, I'd say driving it on the salty roads would be a lot worse.

Cover looks good, just don't let it blow about and keep a check it's dry.

My main concern would be the abrasive effect of the cover scratching the paintwork as the wind blows against it.....

.....but then I've never used a car cover myself so I cannot speak from experience. But how about one of these.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
