evening all

went out in my zed this evening for the first time in weeks and noticed i could feel the gears mesh from first to second,, im guessing the synchromesh may be going im not to worryed at the mo.

i would like the gear box rebuilt at some point and not replaced with a second hand one so i can keep the car original anyone had this done before if so how much and where ,,i guess the clutch is worth doing at the same time

Did it ease once warm? mine is similar, sometimes first gear is a bitch when its really cold lol

Mine does as the input shaft is also making a noise like the clutch release bearing noise, except its not the crb as its all new, might buy another box and over haul that so i can still drive the car.

im not to worryed at the mo as it only really comes out on dry days but will look into next year ,was just asking around to get some idea of price

Is it not worth trying redline mt90 oil first it costs mega money to overhaul a gearbox

I had the same problem years ago, changed my gearbox oil (can't remember which brand before you ask) & solved the problem...

Try that before overhaul, sure someone else on here can advise on best one to use.....
