Hi all, I'm having my wheels returned this week and I'm concerned that they're gonna make my standard, but tired looking callipers look even worst!

I've always been a fan of red (especially as the car is also red) or shall I go silver, or somet totally different? Could give them a good wire brush and tidy up and keep it standard but whatcha y'all reckon?

Only do red calipers if they are red Brembo's. That's my opinion.

For std calipers do them black or something like gunmetal, with the Nissan then rubbed back to shiny metal will look classy. All my opinion of course.

This is what I finaly decided on.

Mind you, my car is arctic white so may not be to everyone's taste.

Wow! I like them... bet they work well with the white. What paint did you use?

Maybe red with black detailing but think i'll try and scrub them up first and keep them stock as its difficult to remove if the paint doesn't suit.

Are they alloy or cast iron calipers think alloy ones look better painted .:thumbup1:

They are the standard Nissan ones, like the ones in the pic but currently look a bit miserable and dull! Is it high tempt enamel spray paint you used? I want to do a proper job but am tempted just to brush on whilst still attached to the car :-/ or is that a bit mickey?

@redwine. Your's look the nuts mate. Nice work.

Thanks Daffy.

Hi Sambo,

Go the whole hog and refurbish them along with a re paint, you will be glad you did when they are done.

Chances are they may have 1 or 2 seized pistons anyway, as mine did.

Improved the braking no end once re fitted.

Oh, meant to say, yes I did use high temperature enamel paint by the way.

Edited by redwine300

exactly why would you use high temp paint ???? any 2k car paint will be fine we have a 600bhp corvette with a big brake conversion, with calipers painted in mirror chrome 2k paint been done for 2 years with no prob!!! is every one forgetting that brake calipers are all rubber sealed if they got that hot the seals would fail !!!! Sorry for that rant but just thought it time to clear up a few myths!!!!!!!
