sorry matey i didnt mean it to sound so blunt, why i said it was because i thought they wouldnt be active untill engine running and over a certain rpm?

take the plugs off em Gaz..just to rule them out

Fuel pump ? Mine used to buzz when I turned on the ignition but before ignition. Not sure if it did it when I press the throttle though..

will do, its just strange as it is activated by throttle position, the tps adjustment was out and i set it back to .45 volts, im wondering if it could be a faulty sensor...

Hellraiser, i never took it as you being blunt, the answer was short because I was going out. Hope you find the problem soon.

cheers Paul

Today i got my mate to have his car with just the ignition turned on and i slightly open the throttle and there it was "the buzz"...never noticed this on my last auto zed i had but this one does just as Gary has said...the good news is this paticular car runs 100% spot on so theres nothing to worry about.
