Hi Terry, I'm fine thanks, lost interest in this zed got my eye on something else, don't want to say too much at the moment, but all will be revealed in the next couple of weeks, I hope.

Nooooooo u can't say that on the z club lol.

Lost interest u need to take her for a spin then your be hooked again.

Let us know how u get on and what u get.

If you buy a set of wheels with the same offset front and rear then they are never going to be right. No matter what offset it is.

What Joel says is more or less the correct spec offsets for a 300Zx. The front is always less than the back.

Have the 2nd set got the same offset front and rear??

  • Author

Same offset but wheels are inch wider on the rear,

Please don't say this lol,

  • Author

I know the front wings look more flared, and trying to fill the arches etc,

But thinking into it standard rims are same offset,

So putting aggressive offset on the front is gonna make the track more wide Then it's set up for ain't it.

Say I have same offset has standard and inch wider wheels front / rear like UK spec.

Then the put more offset to the front isn't that gonna make front track wider then it should be.

Would that only be for looks rather then fitment.

  • Author

These were my old wheels same width, but et38 front and rear.

Car needs lowering back wheels seemed on there limit they stuck out tiny bit,

New ones gonna be another 3mm out.

Do fronts look that bad they will be 3mm out more too.

And it's gonna be lowered, got save for meister coilovers.

But you are buying wheels with + offsets...the bigger the number the further in they go so narrower track and potential fouling issues with big calipers

Argh right so if they don't fail there be good to go lol.

Was thinking it was for looks. Rather then fitment he promised these will fit.

Said they only need tiny spacer on skylines/supra with brembos brakes so mine should be easy his words he better not be eating them again.

Cheers everyone for all the replys, don't think I've ever had such a long bloody thread.

Now I wanna rush and get car back together hurry the f@#k up summer..

  • Author

Oh god please delete them.

It kept saying wait seconds and try again, what was it doing

There quite far away from the caliper lol, company I bought these from said about brembos said these nearly clear them so should have no worries with zed calipers.

And they sell spacers and they will clear brembos.

But I hate spacers, so yeah stock brakes it is.

To be honest I had bigger turbos, 555injectors, etc.

And it was a pain, start wanting more and more, just wanna build it has stock has I can and enjoy it.

It's fast, it stops good enough, and hopefully it will look good.

Bloody wants to anyhow,

Bought new 99spec bumper z centre, type s sideskirts, wheels.

But most money is going on the body this f@#Ker better never rust Still stonchipping underneath with dinitrol and so far used 9ltrs and still need more.

Got Cavity wax.

Then respray again

This summer I want it on the road built properly so can go places like jae and enjoy it.

Instead of allways trying to make it faster or taking it to pieces.

Had the zed proberly around 7yrs and this year I nearly scrapped it lol.

Misses allways moaning, got to the point was using it for work and didn't feel special anymore but when u just drive them once every now and then realise how good they are even standard.

Drive my astra diesal van for 6months and tell me a zed needs to be faster or bigger brakes:clap:
