Just found some bbs badges on flea bay,

These are bbs replica look things theres carbon look bbs centre badges with gold writing or red ones so....

Would ya or wouldn't ya put these on the wheels.

I've been looking at these. Put a few pictures up when they're fitted if you can, £350 is a bargain as long as they're a decent quality. I don't know about the red or gold writing though, black would be better on your car.

Just bought badges see how they look when they come.

Bought black carbon background with gold writing saying bbs.

There only a sticker but may stop wheel looking little plain in the centre.

Won't be fitting till it's car is all painted and back together but I post pics when fitted and soon has they come I'll post up what the quality looks like.

That's what Im worried about why they cheap.

But then most wheels seem like there a package they have no tyres and for a half decent set most likely gonna be 5 to 6 hundred.

So if bought has a package would be near a grand would have thought, with the roads round here problem look like 50pences in a wk.

They are very nice looking wheels matey - Gary Wilson has the same ones on his lovely red SWB and they look superb......!!!

Good value too - did you get them from a seller in Birmingham? Something like "Mad on Motors" I think; that's the place I bought my wheels from and they do these now as well.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

There mesh rs 679 alloys and bought them from jjt-autos.

Unsure if there in Birmingham it say Ayrshire or something like that, god knows where that is lol.

Cheers for replys everyone.

Good choice Terry and they are great alloys for that money. You will need spacers on the front wheels I have 25mm spacers on mine and for the center badges I used the Z nose cone badge (had to file 2mm of to fit) here are some pics.

Cheers, u gave me tyre sizes too lol.

Hope they fit without spacers and ain't gotta cut the nuts up, but will see.

Where did u buy spacers, and was it only for the fronts.

The front center caps would not fit with the long chrome nuts so had to cut them down and the spacers in the pictures were of my old zed they came from Japan but were not hubcentric and I had a slight shake at 60 mph so changed them for a set of proper hubcentric's that were on sale on Driftworks.

Really hope I don't need them, bit funny with spacers.

I will write up if I do. Cheers for everything been big help just messaged him to ask.

Understand they look better brings them out more but I would rather not have spacers lol.

Sweet. I had them on my BMW 645 (1996) ages ago and then on my 535 (1999). Very sturdy alloys, good looking, easy to clean. Not my cup of tea on 300zx do. ZX for me is sports car and not classic (not yet) :) Otherwise - excellent!

A guy who comes in my work has this type wheel on a new fiesta, type of euro look deep dish and lowered and it looks great.

Hopefully trying to do something similar really smooth bodykit, so got 99spec bumper type s sideskirts and gonna lower it.

Really wanted massive dished set of wheels, but running out of cash lol,

Just spent 1.5k and car still looks the same, still got engine, turbo, paint, master cylinder, interior to do, 99spec rear lights And tyres for the bloody rims.

Cheers for reply.

Are they made by a company called 'Dare' or 'Calibre'?

Nothing wrong with them at all mate and I know that people in the drift scene (who would once have slated them) have actually started to fit them.....however they aren't BBS so don't go putting BBS stickers on them, that's one of my OCD pet hates and may a thousand camel chod munching flies infest your zed's glovebox if you go ahead and stick them on your rims!!!

There be snide bbs:lol:

Bought badges now but may not put them on, they looked plain in the middle I'll try find something else to go in there I would hate to be infested with flys.

Unsure of make just what listing says mesh rs 679 or something like that.

I'm sure they'll be fine mate, although these obviously aren't made by BBS and won't have been manufactured under licence a lot of these copy rims are made in the same factory (albeit by 5 year old orphans wearing sand bags for clothes and sandals made out of coke cans....but don't feel guilty because they're very grateful for there 13p at the end of the month) and unless there have been loads of complaints about rims cracking etc then I'm sure they'll be perfectly safe.......and if they do crack.....well just send little Joshi' another 13p and he'll ask his fat boss for permission to make you some more!

No seriously they look fine as they are mate, I'm not sure that you'll need anything in the centre to be honest

Lol, u mad man.

I'll look when they come and I'll try not to stick them on..

And if I do I ain't telling u, don't want the curse of the f@#king flys.

I'm running 18" 8.5s on the front with 235 40r18 tyres and I don't need spacers.

Clearance is tight but there is no contact. The one thing to watch carefull if you haven't got adjustable links is the inner edge of the tyre. That is prone to wear.

  • Author

Thanks for your reply, I'm hoping don't need spacers.

They should be here soon, if they don't fit may back them already messaged company.

But I really want them..

Hi guys these wheels came through today and fronts do need a spacer.

Past experiences I hate spacers shakes, wobbles etc.

And even the ones what bolt to hub and wheel to that I don't think I'd be happy on a 150+mph car.

More to it he said they will fit, spoke on the phone and he said they will fit.

And if they don't he will change them, but I love the style now.

Im gutted.

And the one wheel I pulled out has tiny scuff on centre cap, I'd live with that.

Oh what to do lol..

Just don't seem right have to spend a good few quid to make a wheel fit what a shop has said will fit.

What would use do, advice needed lol.
