Hey gang ...

Had a problem with misfiring recently, was going to check condition of plugs but when was taking them out I stumbled across this ... doesn't look too good!

Thought someone here could probably give me a ballpark diagnosis. Haven't taken spark plug out yet thought I'd call it a night before hunting through my tools to find a deep enough extension to get at it.

Cheers!

Yeah all good, not been up to much, all that rain in the summer delayed the progress for sorting the body work out for my zed. Have hardly driven it much actually, only tend to drive it in the summer and ... what summer?? heh! Looks like it's going to need something more than a lick of paint now though!

Anyone in/around Bristol with the kit to do a compression test that could help me out?

Cheers

Looks like emulsified oil, may well just be a leaky rocker cover gasket, and the oil has filled up the spark plug hole and gone manky, hopefully....

Well it was misfiring on the passenger side of the engine, I'll inspect the spark plug later if my plug tool is long enough to get at it. Only started last weekend before last on a gentle trip back from Gloucester.

I'm prepared for the worse though so not to worry that much.

Oh as follow up to this thread, in case anybody suffers any similar problems ... I swapped the coil packs around, cleaned the connectors, checked the spark plugs, think it was just a dodgy connection. Put it all back together and she was sweet as a nut again. :)
