Dont know if you guys have seen this before, but when going a bit quicker than usual, keep a lookout on whats following you, this was a copper on an unmarked hayabusa, part of the local sussex traffic police, very close to where i live, some 5 miles or so. at no point do i condone the manner of driving, but keep em peeled, and keep hold of your car a license. No probs on a track, but drive like this and your asking for trouble

Granted the driver of the Skyline is acting like a tit but the copper could have (and should have) given him a blip of the blues and twos straight off the roundabout just as a warning. The driver would most likely have slowed, acknowledged the copper and screwed the nut for the rest of his journey. As it was the Skyline driver saw a Hayabusa rider sticking to his ass' and opted to stretch his motors legs as a demonstration of it's capabilities/his manhood etc....and I'd just like to state that I believe that anyone on here who claims that they have never accelerated away from some knobber who's sat right on your rear bumper (just for a few hundred yards at least) is either a halo wearing entity of angelic proportions or more than likely, simply full of s**t!

I agree that there's no place for prolonged periods of speed like that on busy roads and the driver will no doubt have had the book thrown at him, however the copper needs to be pulled in front of the boss man and ripped a new arsehole as he/she certainly contributed to that lunacy...

just my views on it

I have to agree on the statment that we have all pulled away at high speed from someone close behind us I have done it many times but not at them speeds on a busy road.As for the cop not pulling him sooner I supose he could have plus there was other cars there speeding but at the end of the day the Skyline driver was well caught and should of been more aware of what vehicles was following him.But it can happen to us all I have 3 points for speeding from 2 years ago when I was in the zed it was at night time and a police speed trap was set up. The road was not busy and I was just pushing to hard but there you are fine and 3 points.

Good to here from you Japslapper I have missed you on the fourm hope all is well mate.

no dont know what you taking about .. " i'v never sped away from any one or had mini race " :whistling:

i have to say i agree with jap slapper, the unmarked bike was antagonising him, and most of us would do the same. if not quite to the same extent. however does anyone else think that looking at his approach to the roundabout the speedo seemed a little fast. approaching that busy round about at 60 he didnt seem much quicker than everyone else.... just a thought.

Got to agree a motorbike on your arse weaving left and right has a hint of "come on then lets see what youve got". Seems a bit of a stitch up to me and at 85 the copper could have pulled him. I doubt he would have done 140 had no one been up his arse doing the same speed.

the bloke got charged something like 6000 quid ang got 9 months in jail.

That ^^^^^ would indicate that the driver was a white male charity worker taking his injured child to the hospital A&E...

if the driver had been an illegal immigrant, he'd have explained that he stole the GTR from the pub car park after spending all of his benefits on slivovitz (hence no pennies for bus fare) and simply had to top 140+mph because he was late meeting up with his crack supplier. He would have got off with an all inclusive holiday for him and his extended family and an increase in benefits to prevent the situation from arising again!

Whilst I don't condone what the driver did - and let's be honest, most of us at some point have stamped on the loud pedal to lose a tailgater, if that was the sentence the GTR driver received, then I hate to admit I too have similar thoughts to Jap-slapper....

Richard:detective:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

the law is ridiculous punishes the normal people to the nth degree and lets the criminals and scum roll around laughing in its weakness. that is sadly modern life. people get less for stealing the car and going on a half hour police chase with the heli chopper up
