Ok, injector swapped!

Went with the dremel method... for about 10 seconds and then thought, f*ck this, and went and got my 18v combi drill. So so much quicker and easier. None of that faffing around with a pissy little model maker toy.

Misfire now solved but knocking noise still there!

MORE HELP NEEDED!!!!

just watched your videos again ... sounds like top end is rattly ... what mileage has your car done ?

if it is the bearings ... yes m8 .. would be wise to do a mini rebuild Providing the crank isnt damaged

Dave where abouts r u ?

again, god no! lol

I don't even have any cover from the rain which is a bit problem living in the Uk.

Might give Jimmer a ring later. that's my closest bet.

MarkDerby you are right the engine in vid is def a bottom end knock, not what this fella has got, mine has done the same knock as dave brocks is doingheck it did it yesterday, its just the hydraulic tappets and getting oil pressure upto the heads they can get a bit sticky, in saying this regular oiul changes are essential with these engines, because of the tech in them, you also need to maintain correct oil viscousity to keep your VVT solinoids happy.

All right, don't rub it in! Do I get any PRS fees for using my vid, might help towards my rebuild. Lol!

if its top end ie lifters an oil change and maybe some lifter treatment and a good run will do it the world of good. however if its bottom end (bear in mind that cylinder may have been running lean for a while, not good) its actually no where near as bad to pull the engine on these as it first looks. just time consuming.

Dave ... i can sort out an engine for you ... thats why i asked where u was

did u get in touch with jimmer ?

Yeah, after explaining the issue with the misfire and the knocking noise I'm getting he seemed quite sure it's bottom end. Although of course without seeing it in person he couldn't confirm it. I'm pretty settled on it being bottom end.
