Only me there as usual but thats not a problem for me.

Its a friendly low key place with lots of like minded people having fun.

The weather was good till late afternoon .

I now have a line lock fitted to the car so I was able to warm up the Mickey Thompsons .

Result was a 0.2 sec improvement over last month.

Three sub 15 sec runs today with a best for the day of 14.83 at 94.35 mph.

I was well pleased with that. On a later but slower run I nearly had a sub2sec 60ft time. 2.07sec.:taz:

I still have a random small missfire/hesitation at full revs under WOT. Only occasional and lasts a couple of tenths of a sec only. I would like to chase that down before Santa Pod next weekend.

A good day and made even better by some completely random flattering remarks about how well the car went and sounded.

Lets hope the weather is as good next weekend. I have a couple of mods/tweaks planned for this week also!!

14.83 is good Pete...any more weight that can be binned or are you now looking for lost pennies under the seats?

it is for York cos the track is a little "agricultural"

In my book that would equate to a 14.6 at Santa Pod so im closing in on my and Chungs 2006 times.:cool3:

Pass seat will be out and hopefully a tailgate change .

There are some further changes in the pipeline, some of which Jaffa has already done.

i have the double task of driving the changes on Bobgenies car and my own as well.

Hence the "headlight" query I posted.

Both the others have light weight Varley batteries. I need to get one.

Then its down to stripping out door internals and other misc small stuff.

Fortunately its nearly the end of the season and there is all winter to get on with it.

Not to forget my as yet unused forged, high compression engine still needs fitting

gonna be a busy winter:scared:

EDIT...am i right in remembering York as wide open to winds,i used to run a Trans-am years ago and sure it was york with a 40mph head on wind killing my times.

That is the plan!!

Ultimately if you have the basic skills (like Chung and me.. and many others) it comes down to money.

To go fast you need money......

To go faster you need more money....

To go really fast you need even more money.

"How fast do you want to go??????.....................How much money have you got???:smartass:

yep..i started with the usual gearbox auto fast shift kit, open headers, line lock, holly double pumper ect ect and then it all went down hill with £000,s thrown at it for a few tenths of a sec..got out of control so i got out and turned my back on the whole drag/yank thing completly.
