As the title says really? Except it should say Wolf....

what are peoples thoughts particularly around their clutches?

The US sites seem to rate them..

RPS seem to have a rep for clutches that break?

Assuming you mean Jim Wolf. yes been around for many many years doing parts for the Zed and with pretty good reputation.

RPS, dunno where you heard the bad rep for them, if anything they are 1 of very few clutch companies who actually made/designed their clutches with the aid of a 300zx performance specialist in the US.

I know they have sold literally 1000's for Nissan's and do applications for the seriously high horse power freaks.

Jeff at Zedworld also does clutches now as supply only or supply and fit for an all in price.

Cheers Mate,

Luke at the Zcentre put doubts in my mind about rps...

I did request a price for the clutches from Jeff....

RPS - Probably the most popular and highly regarded range of Clutches available for the Z. Their not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Im not aware of Luke/Zcentre ever selling RPS, or having any technical experience/knowledge of Z parts.

Jim wolf technology = JWT, which as Smithy said are long established in the U.S. Never used any of their products though.

Cheers Smithy, Im going to fit it myself as not able to get to Zedworld and leave it there this year..

Going in next year, if not done by then ill get it fitted by Jeff

I've been running an RPS clutch and JWT flywheel for 5 or so years without any problems. Also ran a JWT chip for a year or so with no probs.

Cheers Mate, Concepzion Performance are doing a combo for $770. 1200KG clamping force.. Im not running big power but want a nice clutch which isnt much firmer than stock so researching hard. The Southbends come up well in reports as well..

Is the flywheel definately worth getting? can you feel the difference?

Which rps clutch are you running?

My RPS clutch was one of the best ones I have had to be quite frank!!!!

And I now have a southbend one lol.

Difficult to say because I had a couple of other mods installed at the same time - I think one of which was a lightweight crank pulley which may give similar benefits to a lightweight flywheel, although I've got no regrets at all having it installed.

I'm running the basic Street Sport clutch. It's been fine for the last few years, but I'm wondering if my recent N/A diff mod is starting to push it a little too far as the performance is lacking a little in the first two gears. Excuse for an upgrade perhaps!
