With everything that's going on I'm thinking of cutting my losses and getting a running car, I have sold the forged engine and tubs and arranged to buy standard engine/tubs from Mr Derby to drop back into mine with the manual conversion. The engine will have new piston rings and bearings so all good there, just all needs dropping in and an exhaust.

My thought is to sell her as is for someone to finish her off and have a good solid JDM in gun metal grey.

Also my 300sx track car http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?163127-The-S14-300SX-is-getting-nearer&highlight=

which is nearing completition, the wiring will be done so just needs a prop (about £80-100) and exhaust. The car is stripped out and has the TT engine and box, the front is powerflex bushes and new ast coilovers, accusump, 2 bucket seats with harnesses.

Would £2500 be reasonable amount to ask? Like I said this is a thought and not definite but wondered what others think?

Given your circumstances and I know what lies ahead for you it makes excellent sense..

Getting a well sorted car you can enjoy for the near future and then contemplate little upgrades etc when you fancy them seems a good way forward.

IMO

looking at your other thread I think you have made a good move in getting on board with the correctly trained healthcare professionals who you will need to help/guide you thru the initial stages of change.

Patient support groups etc are also an excellent way forward for many people in your situation and others with other difficult and life changing healthcare issues.
