Today I have to tax my 300zx TT for the first time. I know that the car is an import and I wonder if the last owner has done a bit of a fiddle with registering it, as he was a proper cowboy. The tax is £220 for a year, now my 1.6l MX5 was £250. Also its registered as PRIVATE/LIGHT GOODS (PLG) and the MX5 is PETROL CAR. Something feels wrong how much should it cost. If it is wrong I will sort it out.

Tax is about right as that's what mine is a year for my tt

All pre-2001 cars are taxed in 2 brackets, dependent on engine size. After 2001 its done by Co2 emissions.

Great I can sleep soundly. When your car is very big, loud, red, and powerful; it needs to be very taxed and insured :-)

it will be the only cheap thing about the car.... :)

The red paint itself adds 10bhp

The only thing good about red is that it rhymes with Zed :cool3:

as pointe dout because of the year anything over 1.8 is in the same tax bracket mine is listed exactly the same.
