300ZX Z Centre Tailgate Skin V1 (single skin) is bonded (with mastic) and blended (with body filler) to become the shape of the back of the tailgate

Not being funny but I can see that, but as I am new to z's looking for confirmation rather than statin the obivious.

Yes it covers the area of the old OEM sponge spoiler, generally bonded on and in come cases blended into teh rest of the bodywork.

Yes it hides the holes left by the old spoiler.

Hi,

Just want to know could these replace the standard oem spoilers (sponge one) also do they fit into the same holes?

Thank you!

IMO... IMO...IMO

the cheapest solution is not always the best and that is certainly the case for this item.

Get the original 89 spec and that is the only bit which will need painting.

Thank you!

if you want to keep your spoiler then buy fibreglass replacement ... if you want to get rid of the spoler then get this skin and bond it to tailgate fill and paint the whole tailgate

Question thought, would this need to be bonded to the tailgate too?

So... Remove old spoiler..............

Trial fit new one. Minor sanding maybe???

Paint new spoiler.

buy cartridge of PU sealant

Bond in place.

Job done.

I will refrain from finishing with "simples" and just put "straitforward."

Its "simples" to me cos I do lots of stuff like this but it might not be "simples" to everyone.

just buy the spoiler and take it to the body shop and they will paint and fit it for you

wanna learn and do it myself

wanna learn and do it myself

if you do have equipment to do that then go ahead if not then it would be cheaper to pay somebody to do it

Do the 300zx spoilers have any aerodynamic effects on the car? or are they for styling purposes?
