Anybody else getting this? I've been getting around 10 calls a day lately all from International numbers. My Mum is in hospital at the moment so I run to the phone only to find it's some foreign bast :cursing:

I've tried to get them barred but I would have to pay £4.99 a month for a device that connects to the line. Apparently BT can't block them.....

Am I the only lucky one?

Ive had a couple which are from New York:huh: What annoys me most is the PPI ones, within 1 hour of my phone being connected I had 3 calls!!! so fu*^ing annoying

I just registered my phone number with a website (will find the name) and the calls have graduly stopped almost, just the odd one now and again.

If after 3 weeks you still get these calls, and you retrive the number, you simply complain to this site and they notify them.

Unfortunately all my phone says is "INTERNATIONAL" it won't give me the number and, of course, the caller always withholds their number when I do 1471.

Shower of bastwereds, the lot of them. lol

Same here mate.....

......but yesterday I actually got to answer the phone to these scumbags. I got an Indian sounding lady asking me to participate in a survey into how the recession was affecting me. So I said, since times have got harder I find that I am plagued with every arsehole in the world - and his dog - telephoning me to ask me a stupid question!!!!

I then told her in no uncertain words to take me off their list and never call me again. We'll see if that does anything; probably not, but this crap is really getting on my nerves now!!! And the TPS is probably of no use against international callers as they are outside of UK jurisdiction....:asshole:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

i get these all day at work. ppi this and claim that. if there isent much work to do ill press 1 and speak to an agent. then keep them on the phone for as long as i can just taking the piss. it gets amusing. lol

Very true as well Mikey.....

....I get mostly texts about PPI claimback - but the other day one of the lowlife actually telephoned me. He started the sales pitch by saying according to their records, I may have been mis-sold PPI on my loan.

What records, I said...?? And what loan...?? He just went on with his scripted rubbish - and then I stopped him and told him that he is very much mistaked as I have never had a loan and thus never actually needed PPI.

But the truth is, these saddos are just trying to do their job. The real lowlife scum are the b@stards with whom you have legitimately dealt in the past, who have decided to sell their databases (which include yours and my telephone numbers) on to all and sundry...

....There needs to be a change in the law about this disgusting practice; as it's getting worse by the day.
