no ,not tried anything yet, just tried to turn her over, been to a 65th and a 4th birthday party today so had no time :)

Will be having a good play tomorrow :)

Ohh sounds goosed mate, tell you what I'm such a good mate i'll be down with the trailer tomorrow afternoon ;)

hehe Jeff im sure will get you sorted but my advice would be check all the usual suspects for loose/coroded connectors and check the ECU isnt wet or anything.

Also CAS can cause issues like this and PTU. - Youve got a full silver spares kit havnt you still?! :)

Possibly flooded, best bet is to try and unflood the engine, but first check the temp sensor is a good connection as that could of been the culprit anyhow.

So remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over with the your foot flat down on the gas, do this for 5 or 6 seconds and stop, pause and then do it again, keeping your foot on the floor. Pause again and do it for a third time ( battery needs to be good for this) now switch off the ignition, replace the fuse and try to start the engine but do not touch the accelerator pedal, if it starts great, if it trys to start but not quite you still have wet plugs and the first four need removing cleaning. drying, whilst they are out turn the engine over with the fuel pump fuse out again.

If however it makes no difference at all then you may have an ignition/ spark issue or even an imobilser issue, they often cut into circuits that draw too much current for the imobilser relays/ cables.

Breaker 1-9, breaker 1-9 :)

was just hoping it was the temp sensor connector but it seem`s ok :( going to have a go at un-flooding as Jeff says tomorrow and see how it goes ;/ the battery is new so that`s deffo all good :)

its just annoying as it was fine and always has, been nowhere apart from on the drive and now strangely wont start?

hope its not the start of problems

thanks again

stupid question time, is it auto and if so is it in P or N lol, the amount of times ive moved the gear selector and then wondered why the hell the car wasnt starting, though i have to say, ive never managed to flatten a battery before noticing.

he said it turns over and autos wont turn over if they are in gear so im assuming it is in p or n ;)

that will most likely be why the battery hasnt gone dead while trying to start it then lol

Just a thought.... I have been messing with my stereo lately, there's nothing around there preventing it from starting is there?

Could be mate if a wire has either been moved or disconnected accidentally

If this is a guess what's wrong with my car thread then I will go with an immobiliser issue.

Not in a million years can it be anything else on such a fine vehicle, basically go back to where you've been messing

Even though you mentioned iyou could smell petrol, I would check you are getting fuel to the engine as well... When mine wouldn't start, I assumed electrical until the AA man found their was no fuel going into the fuel filter.

Ok bit of an update, and thanks for all the previous help :)

so, I`ve had a good luck round and can hear coming from the right hand fuel pressure regulator a swishing sound? when I tap it the swishing goes away and more of a hissing sound ,lol ..After tapping i tried to start the car and she fired straight away for a few seconds and then stalled? tapped again she fired and then stalled again, have I a goosed regulator?
