Saracens Head. I think its the oldest tavern in England (someone may correct me!) The St James is a nice pub and its got extended hours :)

Pig and whistle is popular which a good choce of beers/ales etc.

Cant remember anymore!

Definitely visit the roman baths :)

Agreed - we visit Bath for the odd day trip 4 or 5 times a year so know it well....

Also the ghost tour is quite interesting; and for an elegant dining experience I can recommend the Pump Rooms (at the Roman Baths). Afternoon tea is good - but I prefer lunch or dinner; the latter is very atmospheric as they light up the baths for you to overlook whilst eating.

On a fine day, take one of the boat trips along the Avon (you pick them up from the river bank down in front of Pultney Bridge) as that's a nice sedate way to appreciate the city. Or take the tour bus to Prior Park landscaped gardens which overlook the city - that and the Bath Skyline Tour....

.....have a snack at Sally Lunns; the home of the Bath Bun and the oldest building in the city...

There's plenty to see in Bath so enjoy it mate!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I got a feeling most of my time will be spent shopping

Noooo!!

Dean mate - just say to your mrs what I say to mine.....

....."High street shops are all the same nowadays; and I didn't drive xxx miles so you can look in Debenhams/House of Fraser/Dorothy P etc etc when you can do that with your friends at home!! We're in [bath] for a few days so let's enjoy what DIFFERENT things the city has to offer and you can go High Street shopping when we get back..."

Always works - it's only reasonable..!!

Yeah I'm gonna try and take in a bit of culture, stepping out of my comfort zone a bit because I'm as common as they come and if you have met me you will know haha

LOL - no mate; she just sees the reasoning behind my argument......

......either that or have me being Mr Sulkygit for the entire trip!!! Actually though, she knows I hate shopping and don't want to waste a holiday doing just that - but there's always room for a little compromise! We can visit the local one-off shops of course as you don't get them at home; or if we must visit Debenhams or whatever, then we have to do something I like in return.......:shifty:

I was quite impressed by this place, found the Roman Baths quite interesting. Wasn't as expensive as I was expecting but was quite busy even at night midweek. Only took an hour 15 mins to get there too which is always good when you are driving a VW Fox!

I didn't take many pictures because I'm not the type to be snap happy but here is a few of the baths:
