Hi Guys, I've looked in FAQ's and done a search but couldnt find any info on what I should expect my un modified 1995 N/A to do to the gallon, not massively important but planning a little road trip over the bank hol weekend and just want to buget the trip.

I am planning to drive sensibly  I know my old shorty was pretty good if I was steady but I didnt really have to consider cost back then plus fuel was probably around the 70p per litre

Thanks

Steve :)

I`ve just done a road trip around England and averaged @ about 21.5mpg :)

I'm getting a little higher that that just using mine pootling to and from work at the moment, 30 mph roads and no race set offs etc ha ha. I think that's a fair mpg you've stated daz :)

Really my tt does more than that on a run, round town less but on a good run average high 20s ive had 30s before.

Yeah i think the NA is worse on fuel!

Maybe mine needed an oil change etc

You could be right, I averaged about 30mpg in my TT a few years ago on a trip up Scottie land , it was almost the same mpg as my mate`s new 3.2 Boxter as we travelled side by side for most of the way :)

Well, travelled down to exmouth last night, traffic not too bad, kept at 60 - 70mph and it gave me 28mpg :-)

The NA is a couple of mpg average better on fuel than the TT....but the TT is better on long motorway runs due to its taller gearing and becuase you should be mostly off-boost when cruising.
